About St. Paul Religious Education
Our Goals
The Religious Education program offers faith formation classes for children in Kindergarten through Grade 8 and beyond. We also prepare students for the Sacraments of Reconciliation, Holy Communion, and Confirmation. The goal of St. Paul Religious Education is to help the young people of our parish grow in relationship with the Blessed Trinity and the members of our faith community.
Our Teaching Team
Our teaching team is made up of members of our worship community who are committed to passing the faith along to young people. Those who teach Religious Education classes at St. Paul, also known as catechists, come from all walks of life while also being well qualified to pass along our faith to children. All of our catechists have been Virtus trained and have submitted a background check.
Classes Offered
This is our current class schedule. Please keep in mind that it is subject to change.
Monday- 4:15- 5:30 pm- K- grade 8
Monday- 6- 7:15 pm- Grades 1-8
Tuesday- 4:15-5:30 pm- Grades 1-8

Fall Registration
We are now accepting registrations for fall classes. Our online form can be found at this link . Registrations are also taken by visiting our office during regular business hours listed below:
- Monday- Wednesday- 12:00 noon- 7:30 pm
- Thursday- 8:30 am- 4:00 pm
- Saturday- 8:00 am- 11:30 am
*Our office is closed on Friday and Sunday.
Not sure about registration and/or requirements?
If you are not sure where your child fits into our program or have questions about requirements, please call 219-464-8502 to talk with Diane Matthys. We will discuss the best path to begin faith-formation for your child(ren). You can also schedule an appointment to talk in person using the scheduler below!
