Our mission at St. Paul Religious Education is to continue faith formation that began at home with parents  who are the first teachers of the faith to their children.  We utilize content material approved by the United States Conference of Catholic Bishops to catechize children in the faith and to help them grow in love of the Blessed Trinity .  We also provide opportuities for children to become an active members of our community of faith.  


You can visit our office anytime during regular hours to enroll your student(s).  These are our office hours:

         Monday- Wednesday:  12 noon- 8 pm

         Thursday:  8:30 am- 4:30 pm

         Saturday:  8 am- 12 noon

         * We are closed on Friday and Sunday.



Children commonly begin Religious Education classes when they are in Kindergarten or 1st grade.  After completing Grade 1, the student enrolls in a 2nd grade regular Religious Education class and special classes designed to prepare for First Reconciliation.  First Reconciliaition is typically celebrated the first Saturday in December.  The following year, when the student is in the 3rd grade, he/she attends 3rd grade regular Religious Education classes as well as classes especially designed to prepare for First Holy Communion.  This Sacrament is usually celebrated the last Sunday in April.


The same process mentioned in the previous question/answer applies.  The student will following this process:


First year:  attendance in regular Religious Education Classes.

Second Year: attendance in regular Religious education classes and First Reconciliation prpearation classes.

Third year:  attendance in regular Religious Education classes and First Communion preparation classes.

Going Forward:  Attendance in regular Religious Education classes and participation at Mass are required to be eligible to celebrate the Sacrament of Confirmation without delay.
